Here is a copy of the message I sent my
Congresspersons.
I believe the monetary recovery legislation recently passed by the
Senate and the House is a poorly crafted and dangerous bill. I was incredulous
to see that the initial draft, which failed to pass, was changed by adding
things most Americans consider "pork" just to make the revised bill more
palatable to your fellow Congresspersons.
The fact that numerous, unrelated special interest "bribes" were
added to the already staggeringly expensive bill in direct opposition to the
objections of many of your constituents suggests to me that you no longer
represent the people who rely on you to protect and guide our nation. It smacks
of an attitude of elitism that would be envied by Marie
Antoinette.
I will raise my voice and vote toward your removal from the
position of trust I believe you have abused.
Would you consider resigning?
I pray that America will survive your poor judgment and panicked,
lemming-like rush to enable corrupt financial decisions by greedy individuals
who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.
If only you would get in touch with the millions of everyday
Americans, who must recognize and accept responsibility for their own actions .
. . .and who will be stuck with the ramifications of your poor
decisions.
